What Is Voluma®?

What to Expect During Treatment
Voluma® treatment is fast and comfortable. Your injector may apply a topical anesthetic, though Voluma also contains lidocaine to minimize discomfort.
The gel is then injected into targeted areas of the cheeks or chin using a fine needle or cannula. Most treatments take less than 30 minutes, and you can return to normal activities shortly afterward.

Preparing for Your Appointment
To reduce the risk of bruising and swelling, avoid the following for at least one week before your treatment:
- Blood-thinning medications (Aspirin, Ibuprofen)
- Omega-3 supplements or high-dose Vitamin E
- Alcohol consumption
Taking arnica may also help minimize bruising. Your provider will give you detailed pre- and post-care instructions to optimize your results.

Does Voluma® hurt?
Discomfort is minimal. Voluma contains lidocaine for numbing, and we offer additional numbing cream or ice to keep you comfortable.
Will my face look overfilled?

Can I combine Voluma® with other treatments?
