How painful are injectable treatments?
Most patients report little to no pain. We use a combination of ultra-fine needles, prescription-strength numbing cream, vibration distraction devices like NueVibe™, and optional Pronox® for relaxation to ensure a comfortable experience.
What is used to reduce bruising from injections?
We use 32-gauge needles, micro-cannulas when appropriate, pre- and post-treatment ice packs, and Alastin INhance Serum to minimize trauma and speed recovery.
Do I need to prepare before my injectable appointment?
Yes. Avoid blood thinners (like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E) for 3 days before your visit, and skip alcohol for 48 hours. If you tend to bruise easily, you can start taking Arnica or bromelain supplements in advance.
What should I avoid after treatment?
Do not massage the treated area. Avoid workouts or yoga that involve inversions for 24 hours. Ice the area gently if needed, and continue taking Arnica or bromelain if you’re prone to bruising.
Can I go back to work or daily activities after getting injectables?
Yes, most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment. You may experience mild redness or swelling, but it usually subsides quickly.
