Redefine Your Lips with Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure designed to improve the appearance of the lips with hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm, or Vollure. The goal of the procedure is to leave you with supple, beautiful lips, without the obvious ‘injected’ look.
These lip fillers are similar in the effects they produce but differ in the methods used to bind and arrange the hyaluronic acid into an injectable gel that is safe to use. The variation of hyaluronic acid determines the injectable’s ability to retain water and firmness. These factors contribute to the length of time your results will last.
Benefits of Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation is a minimally invasive procedure that does not require any downtime. Patients can quickly return to their normal daily activities with a few restrictions to ensure the filler stays in place immediately after the injection. Dr. Balikian uses the softest injectable fillers to prevent lumps, bumps, and overly thick lips. Our fillers will provide a natural enhancement by subtly improving the shape, structure, and volume.
Candidates for Lip Augmentation
To determine if you would make a good candidate for lip augmentation, you will first have to schedule a consultation with Dr. Balikian or his Aesthetic injectors in his Temecula Valley facility. During this time, they will discuss the details of the procedure in more depth and perform an assessment of your lips to help develop the ideal treatment plan for you. He will also ask about your medical history to ensure that you are in good physical and mental health.
Preparing For Your Lip Augmentation Treatment
We advise patients to avoid using blood-thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or Omega-3 Fish Oils for one week before any injection to help decrease the risk of bruising. In addition, avoiding alcohol a few nights before injection and taking the herbal medication arnica may help decrease the risk of bruising.
