At Balikian Plastic Surgery, all Restylane injections are performed by either Dr. Richard Balikian or one of his expert Aesthetic Injectors. Our providers are known for their conservative, natural-looking results and advanced injection techniques.
We often use a blunt-tip cannula rather than a traditional needle to administer filler, this reduces bruising, swelling, and discomfort, especially in delicate areas like under the eyes or around the mouth.
Restylane injections typically take just 20 to 30 minutes. Most formulations include lidocaine for comfort, and additional numbing cream or ice is available if needed.
Preparing for Treatment
To minimize the risk of bruising and swelling, we recommend avoiding the following for one week prior to treatment:
- Aspirin or Ibuprofen
- Omega-3 supplements or Vitamin E
- Alcohol
- Intense exercise
Taking Arnica Montana supplements may also help reduce bruising.
