We advise patients to avoid using blood thinning medications such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen or Omega-3 Fish Oils for one week before any injection to help decrease the risk of bruising. In addition, avoiding alcohol a few nights before injection and taking the herbal medication arnica may help decrease the risk of bruising which is minimal. Although another injectable called Xeomin is on the market, we do not carry it as Dysport and Botox seem to provide exceptional results.
